From August 30 - September 2, 2013, nine tall ships will drop anchor in Windsor-Essex and Pelee Island for the final stop of the Pan Provincial TALL SHIPS® 1812 Tour commemorating the Battle of Lake Erie.

Boarding passes cost $15 per person and allow passage on each of the ships in all four ports, children under age 5 are free. The passes are on sale online, or you may purchase them in Windsor at the following locations:

  • Adie Knox Herman Recreation Complex, 1551 Wyandotte St. W. Windsor
  • Forest Glade Community Centre, 3205 Forest Glade Dr.

WFCU Centre Job Fair Tuesday July 23, 2013


WFCU CENTRE JOB FAIR ANNOUNCED
Facility agencies hiring for multiple positions

 
Global Spectrum Facility Management, event operators of the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario, announced that a job fair will be hosted at the facility on Tuesday July 23. Two sessions will be held between 2 pm and 4 pm, and again between 6 pm and 8 pm.

 

“This is an opportunity for the residents of Windsor to be part of a world class facility, and a world class team” said Jason Toner, General Manager of Events from Global Spectrum. “We’re very excited to have this opportunity to meet with residents from Windsor and Essex County. These positions are great because they will be on the front line of our work force, and will be involved in so many aspects that make our events run, and make every event a memorable one.”

 

Global Spectrum and Ovations Food Services, both entities at the WFCU Centre, will be filling a multitude of positions including; conversion crew labourers, ushers for Global Spectrum events, ticket takers for Global Spectrum events, ticket sellers, staff accountant (maternity leave coverage), line and short order cooks, servers, bartenders, money room clerk, warehouse stocker.

 

Applicants should be committed to providing top quality service to all WFCU Centre guests and able to work a flexible schedule including a majority of night, weekend, and holiday shifts. All interested applicants are asked to proceed to Collavino Hall at the WFCU Centre and provide a resume and cover letter. Applicants will also be required to fill out a job application and be available for an on-site interview if requested.

 

Those that cannot attend the job fair in advance can also apply for select jobs online at the Global Spectrum job posting website TeamWorkOnline.com.
