The Ugly Sweater

Rummage up the Ugliest Sweaters you can find and celebrate
the holidays by participating in the best 5k of the year. Join the
Optimist Club of Windsor as they host Windsor’s first Ugly Sweater 5K Run! If
you want to wear spandex under your sweater and race fast, that's cool, but
you're missing the point! If you've never run a 5k before, this is a great way
to burn some calories from all those holiday dinners before slamming a cup of hot
chocolate. All you have to do is register online to join in the fun.
Optimist Club of Windsor/Race Director, Stéphane Beaudin describes
the Ugly Sweater Run as an at your own pace run. This 5k encourages
participants to wear their ugliest holiday garb for the sake of the season and
for a great cause.
The 5km trek invites
runners and walkers of all skill levels and ages to join in the joy. There will
be holiday music, decorations, a photo hub, and hot chocolate station. When the
race is complete, adults can enjoy their choice of Coffee or delicious hot chocolate.
Following the race, an award for "Ugliest Sweater” will be presented by
none other than Miss LaSalle Angela Teodorescu.
