Creative Community at The WEAs

It’s
an evening of celebration with song, delicious desserts, local wines, a unique
venue and a ceremony honouring leaders in our creative community.
The
Windsor Endowment for the Arts presents The WEAs: a Celebration of
Our Creative Community on Saturday, May 5 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Windsor Light
Music Theatre, 2491 Jos St. Louis, Windsor. Tickets are $35 each.
Honouring
13 creative people and organizations in Windsor Essex, The WEAs
celebrate our vibrant and creative arts and cultural community.
A
new grant, the Elizabeth Havelock Grant, will be presented for the first time
this year to a mid-career artist in Essex County.
The
Windsor Endowment for the Arts’ Leadership Awards and WEA Arts Grants were
founded in 2010 to recognize and encourage significant artistic and cultural
contributions in the arts by individuals, practicing emerging artists,
community organizations and successful arts projects in Windsor Essex.
Every
two years, WEA presents awards honouring leaders in the community and
distributes cash grants to artists and organizations in four different
disciplines: community arts, literary arts, performing arts and visual
arts
