The Miss Via Italia Pageant
Via
Italia Carrousel of the Nation volunteer organizers are pleased to announce the
return of the ever popular Miss Via
Italia Pageant. This event is a highlight among all of the events taking
place over the two Italian Village Carrousel weekends and attracts hundreds of
fans. This year’s Carrousel of the Nations takes place on June 20-22 and June
27-29.
The committee
organizing the pageant is currently seeking contestants with Italian Heritage
to participate in the event, which takes place on Saturday,
June 21, 2014 at 9:00 p.m.. Hosted by Mr. Sonny Borrelli, and featuring
celebrity judges, the event incorporates several elements including fashions, a
talent component and an interview.
Along with the
coveted Miss Via Italia title and tiara, a cash prize of $500 for the winner
and gift packages for first and second runners up are awarded. Participants
must be between the ages of 16 – 25 and be available for training sessions and
rehearsals held prior to the event.
This
event is sponsored in part by FIAT, Wincom and several local boutiques.
Deadline for
applications to the pageant is May 25th. Interested participants may
